13193 “Chase” Male Fawn Mastiff

Chase was brought in to kennels due to being found roaming as a stray. He is approximately 18 months old. He is very playful and affectionate with all staff, and known to be a big goofball! Whilst being in kennels he has been reactive to some other dogs, particularly big dogs and seems more tolerant of smaller dogs. He has also shown good aggression with other dogs so if he was rehomed would have to be kept separate. He cannot be rehomed with young children for this reason. He will need a pet free home until he is further socialised. He needs to undergo all aspects of training including house training but he does try his best not to pull on the lead. Chase has seen the vet in kennels and has been diagnosed with an overextending hock in his back legs (ligament problems), this could either be congenital or as the vet suspects – due to malnutrition as a puppy. It is unclear to say whether he will need treatment for this in the future without an x-ray but for now the vet is satisfied that it is not causing Chase any pain.

For dogs there is a non-refundable £100 adoption fee (card payment only at present) which includes microchipping (for dogs not already microchipped). ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAYED - This will be an additional cost to the adopter.
