Simon was handed over to kennels due to no fault of his own. He hasn’t had the best start in life. He is approximately only 1 year old born on the 11/5/22 and has just spent his first birthday in kennels. Simon is a very large, strong dog! He is difficult to hold on the lead and will need a strong confident handler to manage him & lead train him. Simon is very timid when first meeting strangers (particularly men) & generally experiencing anything new. With plenty of patience (and treats), he can be won over & he is then very playful & boisterous. In his previous home he was not walked & has not seen much of the outside world & is easily overwhelmed. Simon has shown no negative reactions to other dogs in kennels but will need further socialising as he has not been around them. Simon becomes distressed when he is left alone & will need a home where he will have plenty of company & cannot live with young children. Due to his nervous nature, potential adopters may need to visit Simon a few times at kennels before he is comfortable enough to go home. Simon is a young dog & has plenty of potential for the right experienced home.

For dogs there is a non-refundable £100 adoption fee (card payment only at present) which includes microchipping (for dogs not already microchipped). For full information or to book an appointment to see the animals available, please call the kennels direct on 07817 497995, phone 7days 8am - 8pm (closed between 1.30pm and 2pm for lunch) - viewing is by appointment only, subject to a successful pre adoption questionnaire carried out over the phone - please remember to quote the dogs reference number when calling. ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAYED - This will be an additional cost to the adopter.
