Newton

Do you have a good sense of humour? If so this boy will keep you smiling day after day after day.

Newton is just a young boy, probably only a year old if that and yet he found himself homeless in a dog pound and in desperate need of help. We brought him into Rain Rescue’s care where he landed on his paws by gaining a foster spot with Auntie Pauline.

Newton is best described as a diamond in the rough! He’s a super smart boy who is very quick to learn but he does have some ‘quirks’.

Newton adores people and loves to be with you having cuddles on the sofa. However this does mean he can find it difficult when you’re not around and will bark, so he’s looking for a home where he won’t be left for long periods of time. He is adapting well to using a crate and takes comfort in having a doggy friend around.

He’s active and would benefit from a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise not just for the body but for the brain too like agility, cani cross, flyball and/or scent work. Newton can initially be vocal when over stimulated so will need to work towards this type of activity rather than it being something for him to take up immediately but we feel it could benefit him in the long run.

Overall Newton is looking for a home with owners who are patient, understanding and are happy to continue with his training (Rain Rescue are happy to help support in this initially). This boy will prove to be a total superstar in the right home, he’s already made huge progress in the time he’s been with us. We can guarantee your hard work will be rewarded ten fold with lots of lurcher love and affection.

GOOD WITH DOGS – Newton would like a home with a patient friendly canine companion.

GOOD WITH CATS – NO, and no small furries.

GOOD WITH CHILDREN – Teenage +
