Monty is American bulldog type cross, we have estimated his age at around only 1 year old. Monty was brought in to kennels after being seen dumped in a park, presumably by his previous owners. Monty was extremely timid and uncertain on arrival at kennels and was growling and unwilling to be handled by staff. After a couple of weeks of staff working with him, Monty is much happier to see staff and be handled. Monty is very boisterous & playful once he trust you and loves to do zoomies and try sit on your knee (he is not aware of his large size!). Monty has a good appetite and trains well with treats, he knows commands such as sit and paw. We have seen no issues around other dogs in kennels and pending a successful introduction, he could potentially live with another dog. Monty still needs a lot of training, including lead training, recall and house training. Monty is still very wary of strangers and potential adopters may need to visit kennels to befriend him a few times before he would be comfortable to go home! Monty would be suited to a home with older children only.

For dogs there is a non-refundable £100 adoption fee (card payment only at present) which includes microchipping (for dogs not already microchipped). ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAYED - This will be an additional cost to the adopter.
