These gorgeous girls are looking for a new home together as their dad could no longer care for them due to ill health.
Penny’s tail is like a pendulum it never stops swinging – it wags and wags and goes round in circles sometimes. She’s 9 years old brindle lurcher and has been around all ages in the family so we feel she would be ok for a variety of homes. She mixes well with other dogs . Blaze, is a tri-coloured 6 year old Saluki, she has found the change in circumstances a little overwhelming, and has relied on Penny to help her through. Both girls are doing really well and are finding their feet. After a walk in the morning, they like nothing better than to come and sit or lay in the welfare office for fuss and of course treats. These two beautiful ladies love doing zooms in the paddock, proving too fast for it to ever be captured on film.
The girls need to go together if possible and at worse, Blaze must be rehomed to the right home first, should we not be able to find that for them. They aren’t actually bonded but Blaze needs the re-assurance of a confident friend so would have to go with another dog which would preferably be a lurcher or saluki she feels comfortable with. We won’t rehome Penny alone until Blaze is settled but prefer to rehome both girls together if possible.
Both girls would love to go for walks but they are also lovely in the house too. We don’t think a noisy household would be right for them but they wouldn’t mind a steady family as long as all can be sensitive to Blaze’s fears.

They have had a vet health check and Penny is booked in for a dental. Both girls are microchipped which will be transferred into your name on adoption day. They will leave Rain Rescue with the food they have been enjoying whilst at the centre. Pet Plan will provide you with 4 weeks free insurance. They have a joint adoption fee of £350. All our dogs and cats will be neutered (if safe to do so), vaccinated, flead, wormed and microchipped which will be registered to you on adoption.
All pets come with 4 weeks free Petplan insurance, 2kg Bag of Burns food.
All dogs and cats have been assessed by the Rain Rescue team who will work with you so we ensure we get the right match for you and for me.
