Hattie

Gender: Female

Age: 1 - 2 years

Neutered: Yes

Hattie is a small sweet girl who we guess to be a cross between a Brittany Spaniel and a Collie, she was originally from Romania and was homed to the UK by a rescue over there.  Sadly the home didn’t work out and we were asked if we could possibly step in and help.  Hattie has come on in leaps and bounds since she arrived with us and we are sure she will make a fabulous addition to the right family, she is just over a year old so still a baby really and plenty of time to learn.

When she arrived Hattie was a terrified girl who barked to warn us away, now she is a happy girl who greets us when we arrive and who enjoys her walks, having great fun with the other dogs but always coming back when called.  We have no doubt that there will be situations where she will revert to her frightened self especially when she first goes to a new home so she needs someone with the time and patience to help her with this.  Given her nervous nature we think it would be good for her to be homed with a more confident dog and in a home without children.

Adoption info

Anyone applying for our dogs will need to demonstrate they are able to give the dog a good home and have the time and skills necessary. We carry out home checks and obtain vet references before dogs can go to their new home and an adoption donation will be required, this does vary depending on the age/health of a dog but the average is £180. All dogs are microchipped, vaccinated and neutered unless a vet has advised against it for health reasons.

South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue

We are a small registered charity which predominantly helps spaniels find homes, although as you can usually see from our dogs looking for homes other breeds do sometimes find their way into our care.
