LEA

Gender: Female

Age: 1 - 2 years

Neutered: As part of adoption process

The lovely Lea was originally from overseas via another rescue and came to the UK as an extremely nervous girl about a year ago.  Even after a year in a home she was still really nervous and terrified of children which is why she came to us.  Her previous home had numerous small grandchildren, some of which visited most days, this was causing Lea lots of stress so we were asked if we could help.  She is looking for a relatively quiet home without younger children (including visiting), she needs to be able to get to know people at her own pace so needs someone who is patient enough to let her do this.  Having said that  in the short time she has been with us she has come on in leaps and bounds she is much more confident with new people and is now enjoying off lead walks with the other dogs which she has never had the chance to do before.  Given she is only around 2 years old we are sure she will just keep on gaining confidence with everything she experiences.

Adoption info

Anyone applying for our dogs will need to demonstrate they are able to give the dog a good home and have the time and skills necessary. We carry out home checks and obtain vet references before dogs can go to their new home and an adoption donation will be required, this does vary depending on the age/health of a dog but the average is £180. All dogs are microchipped, vaccinated and neutered unless a vet has advised against it for health reasons.

Adopted

South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue

We are a small registered charity which predominantly helps spaniels find homes, although as you can usually see from our dogs looking for homes other breeds do sometimes find their way into our care.
