Monty is a lovely lad and after some basic training he is now good on a lead. He is a big bouncy lad and he does need an adopter who is prepared to keep him on his training programme.  He loves going for walks and is a big softie, he is clean in his pen and good with other dogs

Because he is  boisterous and needs time spent with him he needs a home with no small children and a large secure garden. He is full of fun and is a great character

All our dogs go out on a training programme and have back up for the rest of their lives

Adoption info

All our dogs are vaccinated microchipped and, whenever possible neutered (this can be dependant on the age of the dogs e.g. very old or very young) There is a minimum fee of 200.00 to help cover the cost of taking in more dogs in need of help.

Freedom of Spirit Trust for Border Collies rescue (FOSTBC)

All our dogs go into their Life Guardians homes on a training programme, we give each adopted dog its lifetime of back up and we try our best to match the right dog to potential adopters. As each dog and potential home are different we don't have a rigid set of rules but we do need to know that there is a suitably fenced garden/exercise area and we don't let our dogs go into homes where they are going to be left alone for several hours at a time on a regular basis.
Some of our dogs do have issues and some are ready for rehoming within a matter of weeks of being in our care so we do need to know from potential adopters if they are prepared for or are experienced with any behavioural issues.
