Ruby
Gender: Female
Age: 1 - 2 years
Neutered: Yes
Ruby is either a Cyprus Terrier or a poodle cross and is all white. She came from Cyprus where she was found by the side of the road with her puppies. She is a small dog with lots of character and we believe she is around 18 months old. At some point we think Ruby has been someone’s pet as she tries to be clean in her kennel and was very clean in her travel crate. She has been great with all people and dogs she has met and is still very patient with her puppies who are now 7 months old. Ruby has a condition called Leishmania which is caused by being bitten by sand flies. This is not contagious, she displays no symptoms and it causes her no issues. She does need to take a daily tablet for at least a year when she will be retested, hopefully as it was diagnosed early she will test negative at this stage. If not she will need to continue the tablets, however the rescue will pay for these for as long as she needs them. If you want to find out more and see a short video of her with her puppies (who are actually bigger than her) check out her information on our website.
Anyone applying for our dogs will need to demonstrate they are able to give the dog a good home and have the time and skills necessary. We carry out home checks and obtain vet references before dogs can go to their new home and an adoption donation will be required, this does vary depending on the age/health of a dog but the average is £180. All dogs are microchipped, vaccinated and neutered unless a vet has advised against it for health reasons.

We are a small registered charity which predominantly helps spaniels find homes, although as you can usually see from our dogs looking for homes other breeds do sometimes find their way into our care.
