Baxter is a beautiful, calm 9 yr old Staffy cross (possibly Whippet) with such sad eyes. Poor Baxter has had a really tough time recently as his owner tragically passed away, Baxter was so close to his owner that it’s understandably been a lot for him to process. He was very shy and nervous when he arrived with us, but is doing really well with lots of TLC and tasty treats he is much brighter now and we are getting lots of waggy tails from him. Once bonded with an owner (which doesn’t take long), he is absolutely devoted and will be someone’s best friend for life. We are looking for a quieter home for Baxter where he will get plenty of company and time to settle into a new home at his own pace. He walks beautifully on the lead, loves to be out and about and is really well behaved. He is fully housetrained, doesn’t chew anything at all and is very quiet. He has lived as the only dog previously, so ideally we’d like him to go into a pet free home to keep things as stress free as possible for him but generally he is fine with other dogs out and about. He could possibly live with a cat. This boy could not deserve a second chance at happiness more – he will be the most loyal companion to his new owner once he has bonded with you and we are desperate to find him happiness again.

All dogs adopted from HYPS have had a full health check, are fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. They are also treated for fleas and worms. The adoption fee is £150.
