CANDY – ONE EYED PATTERDALE
Gender: Female
Age: 9 - 10 years
Neutered: Yes
Well what a story Candy has to tell. This darling Patterdale lady has been stuck in kennels for over 6 months before arriving with us. She was being boarded whilst her owner was very ill in hospital, her owner sadly passed away and so she has come to us for rehoming. Not only was Candy bereaved she was suffering from a swollen and painful eye – you can see the pictures of her before and after the eye was removed above.
We cannot tell you what a difference the operation has made to Candy, she’s like a different dog. The day she arrived with us she cowered, shook and hid under and in any small space she could find. Now she’s full of zest, tail wags and enthusiasm for everyone she meets. PLUS the results of the biopsy on the eye are good, showing it to be benign and with a good prognosis.
All she needs now is a loving home. She adores being the centre of attention so she is looking for a home where she is the only pet and where she will be treasured as she deserves. Candy isn’t a fan of being on her own so would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time.
GOOD WITH DOGS – Has walked out and mixed with other small dogs, she’s good with them and enjoys a little play, however in the home she’d be best suited as an only pet.
GOOD WITH CATS – NO
GOOD WITH CHILDREN – Adult only home preferred.
