Kira is a gorgeous Patterdale who is around 8 years young. She came into our care as a stray, so we have no history about her, but since arriving with us she has been a pleasure to look after. Kira can be a little shy with people she doesn’t know, and is best rehomed to a child free home who know to give Terriers a bit of space before they trust you. She is very sweet and friendly when she knows people and needs a gentle hand. Kira has very good manners and sits very nicely for a treat, she is very clean in her kennel which suggests she’s housetrained and is quiet when she’s left alone (she loves to snuggle up on the sofa). She walks well on the lead, but we would not advise she can be let off the lead as she is a Terrier with prey drive! Kira seems OK with some dogs, but wouldn’t take kindly to another dog having a go at her, and we feel she would be happiest as the only pet. She will need a fully secure garden in her new home. This lovely little girl would suit a reasonably quiet home with previous Terrier experience where she will get plenty of nice walks and lots of TLC – she’s a little gem.

All dogs adopted from HYPS have had a full health check, are fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. They are also treated for fleas and worms. The adoption fee is £150.
