POPPY – BEAUTIFUL BLACK BEAUTY GREYHOUND. SHE IS VERY LOVING, SWEET NATURED AND WILL MAKE SOMEONE A FABULOUS EASY DOG. SHE WILL BE SPAYED, VACCINATED, TREATED FOR FLEAS AND WORMS. A HOME CHECK IS NEEDED TO ADOPT POPPY.
Poppy has become a huge fave at our kennels and is capturing the hearts of all the Sight hound lovers. This stunning Greyhound as come into care from the stray kennels and is a very placid sweet natured dog. She is an ex racing Greyhound of approx 5-6 years old. Poppy adores her walks and floats like the gentle soul she is. She loves company and loves to bury her head into your coat where it’s warm. Poppy can be found snoozing on her raised up bed wrapped in two coats quite happily watching the world go by. She is an easy dog who has been great with other dogs at the kennels.
THE HOME POPPY NEEDS
Poppy is friendly and loving and calm. She could possibly live with another nice natured Sight Hound in a calm home. However due to her back ground she cannot be rehomed with any small furries and caution is needed with anything small and fluffy including small dogs. Poppy is happy with a few steady walks and could possibly be left for a few hours alone during the day. She is very affectionate and loves her company. She would be happy with a steady pace of life as she has a laid back nature. A large duvet and bed in the comforts of a cosy home would be just up Poppy’s street. A home with Greyhound experience would be brilliant for this elegant, pretty lady.

Good Life Dog Rescue is a small charity who care about the welfare of stray dogs in the UK. We are passionate about helping these animals. We are self funded and exist entirely on volunteers. We hold full time jobs outside of the rescue and all spare time and energy is dedicated to raising funds and rehoming stray dogs. Good Life Dog Rescue does not have its own kennels so all the dogs in our care board at two kennels in Yorkshire. Kennels are a temporary place for our dogs and we aim to find them a new start as soon as possible.
As well as the dogs in our care we actively help the Yorkshire stray kennels. Every week we photograph stray dogs that have legally served their 7 days and help find them much needed rescue places. If we do not have space to take the strays then we work tirelessly to find them a place within larger rehoming centres and other rescues.
