Hello, I’m Vera! I’m a 3 year old greyhound looking for a fun new home! Now that I’ve retired from my racing career, I’m ready to kick back and enjoy some home comforts.
I’m a fun-loving gal and love to greet my friends with a big swooshy tail wag! I enjoy getting out and about on my walks, but am more than happy to press snooze when the weather isn’t so great. I make a great office buddy and love to enjoy some quiet chill-time while you work or greet visitors with a friendly sniff.
I could live with another friendly, similar sized dog after a successful meet or with children aged 8+. As an ex-racer I will need a little extra support adjusting to life in a home, but I tend to take most new things in my stride and my friends at Rain will be able to help with advice and support to get me off on the right paw!
Vera has an adoption fee of £250.
Vera has been fully health-checked, vaccinated, flead and wormed. She will be neutered at our vets when she is ready, and her microchip will be changed to your details on her adoption day. Vera will leave Rain Rescue with a 2kg bag of Burns food to help her settle in as well as 4 weeks free insurance from PetPlan.

All our dogs and cats will be neutered (if safe to do so), vaccinated, flead, wormed and microchipped which will be registered to you on adoption.
All pets come with 4 weeks free Petplan insurance, 2kg Bag of Burns food.
All dogs and cats have been assessed by the Rain Rescue team who will work with you so we ensure we get the right match for you and for me.
