About us
Sheffield Council Kennels is a safe place for dogs found roaming the streets of Sheffield. For the dogs that are not reunited with their owner after a period of 10 days, they will be put up for adoption and advertised on this website. We try our best to match potential adopters to the right dog and find them loving new forever homes. Please be aware that the majority of the dogs at the council kennels (with the exception of some owner surrendered dogs) come with no background history. They have had a very basic assessment by the kennel staff within their 10 days. Therefore we do not know anything of the dogs past, what kind of home they have come from and what they have experienced in the past. Dogs MUST be supervised around children, visitors and other pets at ALL TIMES and never left unattended.
