LADY – 4 YEAR OLD BRITISH BULLDOG
Meet Lady, a gorgeous 4-year-old British Bulldog who is looking for a secure, loving home where she can finally settle and be truly cherished.
Lady came into our care alongside her son, Marvel, through no fault of their own. She is already spayed and is a small girl with a huge personality, full of wiggles, enthusiasm and affection.
Lady absolutely loves her food and treats, which will be a great tool for continuing her training and building a bond with her new family. She can be lively and excitable, but underneath all that bulldog enthusiasm is a lovely girl who deserves stability, patience and kindness.
Sadly, Lady has not always had the most settled experience in life and has regularly found herself straying in the past. Because of this, we are looking for a home that can offer her the security, routine and understanding she needs. She can also be wary or startled by loud noises, so a calm, positive approach will help her feel safe and build confidence.
Lady has previously lived around children and other dogs. Due to her excitable nature, we feel she would be best suited to a home with older children who are comfortable around a lively dog.
She has shown no concerns around dogs while with us and could potentially live with another neutered resident dog, providing introductions and meet-and-greets go well.
Lady is not suitable to live with cats.
One very important consideration for Lady’s future adopter is her breathing. She has brachycephalic airway concerns and is likely to require BOAS surgery in the future to help improve her breathing and quality of life. This would be at the adopter’s own cost, so anyone considering Lady must be prepared for the potential veterinary expense and ongoing care associated with this. Please note that we advise you to do research in regards to what future costs you could incur .

- A secure, loving and patient home
- Older children
- No cats
- Could live with a neutered dog following successful introductions
- Someone happy to continue positive, reward-based training
- An understanding adopter who won’t rush her when she becomes worried
- Someone financially prepared for her future BOAS treatment
- Plenty of love, routine and stability
Lady really is an adorable, wiggly little character who has so much love and personality to give. She just needs someone willing to give her the security she’s been missing and show her that home really can mean forever.
For dogs there is a non-refundable adoption fee (card payment only at present) which includes microchipping (for dogs not already microchipped). ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAYED - This will be an additional cost to the adopter.
