I was handed over to kennels due to no fault of his own. He is a medium sized black male Cockapoo at around 2 years old. Dougie is very energetic and friendly towards people! He has a lot of energy and love to give. He will need an active home with plenty of time for walking and training. Dougie does jump up a lot & will be best suited to a home without young children because of this. Dougie is fairly strong on the lead so will need a capable handler. Doug tries his best to stay clean in his kennel but may need a gentle reminder when it comes to housetraining. Cockapoos coats need regular upkeep with a dog groomer, adopters will have to bear the cost of this in mind. Dougie knows basic commands, such as sit, paw and down. Dougie has become frustrated after a long stay in kennels and has now become a little frustrated and does react to other dogs by barking. Dougie will need to learn neutrality around other dogs on walks once he has decompressed from his time in kennels. Adopters may need a professional dog behaviourist to advise them on training for Dougie, the cost of this should be taken into consideration also. Dougie is such a fun, loving boy and we would love to see him in his 5 star forever home!

For dogs there is a non-refundable £100 adoption fee (card payment only at present) which includes microchipping (for dogs not already microchipped). ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAYED - This will be an additional cost to the adopter.
