MEET JACK

Jack is a lovely 9-year old male neutered, Jack Russell x Parson Russell Terrier who has sadly been handed over by his owner through no fault of his own. He has clearly been very much loved and is now looking for a special home to call his own. ❤️

Jack is a confident, happy little character who absolutely loves human company. He enjoys being outdoors, playing with his toys and getting out for his walks, but he also loves settling down and spending time with his people.

He would suit a semi-active home where he can enjoy plenty of exercise, enrichment and attention spaced throughout the day. He would ideally need a home where he won’t routinely be left alone for long periods.

Jack is also very clean in his kennel overnight and settles well into his routine.

Jack will need to be the only pet in the home.

He can be reactive towards other dogs and animals and would be happiest having all the attention to himself. Visiting dogs could also make him feel unsettled, so we are looking for a home where other dogs would not regularly be brought into his space.

Jack’s ideal home:

• A semi-active home with regular exercise and enrichment throughout the day

• A secure garden is a must for this typical little terrier!

• Someone who won’t routinely leave him for long periods

• No other pets

• No young children

• Older, dog savvy children may be considered following a successful meet and greet

• Terrier experience would be preferable

Jack already knows basic commands including sit and lie down, although his recall does need some work. His new family will therefore need to exercise him safely and responsibly while continuing his recall training.

He loves his food and treats and is currently used to eating mainly wet food.

As Jack is an older gentleman, potential adopters should also be aware that he may require dental treatment in the future, and any future veterinary costs would be the responsibility of his adopter.

Jack really is a wonderful little dog with bags of personality and lots of love to give. He is looking for someone who understands terriers and can offer him the secure, loving home he deserves. ?

For dogs there is a non-refundable adoption fee (card payment only at present) which includes microchipping (for dogs not already microchipped). ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAYED - This will be an additional cost to the adopter.
