Matilda is a beautiful 8-month-old crossbreed with the sweetest nature. She is a friendly, affectionate young girl who has been lovely with staff since coming into our care as a stray.

As Matilda came to us with no known history, she is looking for a patient and understanding home that can help her learn and grow. While she walks reasonably well on a lead, she can still pull at times and has not had any formal basic training, so her new family should be prepared to start from the beginning with her training.

She is eager to please and would benefit greatly from positive reinforcement, consistency, and guidance.

Matilda can be a little wary in new situations and will need owners who can help build her confidence and continue her socialisation at her own pace. With the right support, she has all the potential to flourish into a wonderful adult dog.

Being a young dog, Matilda is full of energy. She loves her toys, enjoys being active, and will need a home that can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation to keep her happy.

Matilda could potentially live with another neutered dog, subject to successful meet and greets. Due to her age and excitable nature, she is looking for a home with older children only, as she can be bouncy and may jump up when excited. We have no background information regarding her suitability to live with cats.

We are looking for a home where she won’t be left alone for long periods, and she will benefit from companionship, continued training, and support while she settles into her new home.

For dogs there is a non-refundable adoption fee (card payment only at present) which includes microchipping (for dogs not already microchipped). For full information or to book an appointment to see the animals available, please call the kennels direct on 07817 497995, phone 7days 8:30am - 4:30pm - viewing is by appointment only, subject to a successful pre adoption questionnaire carried out over the phone - please remember to quote the dogs reference number when calling. PLEASE CALL THE NUMBERS TO SPEAK TO A MEMBER OF STAFF IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ONE OF THE DOGS - emails/messages to this site unable to be responded to.

ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAYED - This will be an additional cost to the adopter.
