Akuma was brought in to kennels after being found wandering as a stray. He was born in 2019 according to his microchip. On arrival Akuma was very frightened and was growling & snapping at staff. For this reason he will need a home without children. Staff have befriended him now and he is much happier to be handled. Although he is much like a typical Akita and is very aloof in temperament. Whilst being in kennels he has been reactive with most other dogs. He will need a home where he is the only pet. We would advise a quiet home, experienced with akitas. It may take a couple of visits for potential adopters to win him over. He walks nicely on the lead but will need all other aspects of training.

For dogs there is a non-refundable £100 adoption fee (card payment only at present) which includes microchipping (for dogs not already microchipped). For full information or to book an appointment to see the animals available, please call the kennels direct on 07817 497995, phone 7days 8am - 8pm (closed between 1.30pm and 2pm for lunch) - viewing is by appointment only, subject to a successful pre adoption questionnaire carried out over the phone - please remember to quote the dogs reference number when calling. ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAYED - This will be an additional cost to the adopter.
